- DESIGNER : Responsible for concepts, sketches, fabrics and trends. Oversee’s all aspects of the design room. Provides direction to Design Assistants, Pattern makers and Artists. Strong illustration, flat and detailed sketch ability. Handle initial fittings. Communication ideas and vision to staff. Knowledge of current/past market and competition
– As i am studying to become a fashion designer my first obvious choice as a job would be to become a fashion designer , i am well organised i would love to manage staff and have lots of knowledge on trends and market competition which is good as the role of a fashion designer is to always be competitive to create new and innovative ideas.
- FASHION SHOW PRODUCER : Produce and direct both live and video fashion shows. Write script, design storyboard, select music and hire models.
– I would absolutely love to do this job as i would love to organise fashion shows, i always imagine runway show ideas in my head with the perfect music and scenarios, i do have a wide knowledge into runway music and i also studied Theatre design last year which saw me studying props and set as well as costume so the idea of creating shows would be perfect for me.
- STYLIST :Â Plan and execute fashion merchandise for photographic representation in an advertisement or a catalog. Select colours , prints or styles for presentation. Set trends from Ready-to Wear fashion to Haute Couture
– I think this job would suit me as i love piecing together outfits and even using simple pieces together to make a fabulous outfit, i would love work on photo shoots as i’ve work on a few helping with makeup and it made me fall in love with the busy environment of the fashion shoots, i have a wide knowledge of trends past and i also like to predict future trends.
